If you want to feel connected, supported and encouraged, sorority life is for you!  Registering for primary recruitment is the first step to finding your home in the sorority community on campus.

Here at University of Minnesota Duluth's Panhellenic, we believe everyone has a purpose to discover, possibilities to explore, needs people to thrive, and a place to belong. We want to educate and equip you to embark on your journey as a potential new member (PNM). You should feel confident as you participate in recruitment!

Time Commitments 

• Please note the following dates and times for Primary Recruitment: 
  
  • Thursday, September 12th between 4:00-6:00 PM -- Panhellenic Open House
  • Monday Sept. 16th - Thursday Sept. 19th -- Chapter Sisterhood Events
  • Friday, Sept 20th - Monday, Sept 23rd -- Chapter Philanthropy Events 
  • Tuesday, Sept. 24th & Wednesday, Sept. 25th -- Preference Rounds
  • Friday September 27th from 5:00-7:00 PM -- Bid Day! 

• New Member Attendance Requirements:
  • Alpha Sigma Tau
  • Beta Lambda Psi 
  • Kappa Xi Delta
  • Phi Sigma Sigma

Financial Obligations & Membership Costs 

• Chapter Dues & Fees cover a variety of things from apparel to sisterhood events and insurance costs.
• Each chapter will go over their financial obligations during the Open House rounds.    

Academic Expectations

• Before a sorority member, you are a student first!
  • Most chapters have academic expectations for their members.
  • Each chapter or inter/national organization sets the academic requirements for membership.
  • There is no GPA requirement to register for Panhellenic recruitment.

You'll receive additional information about orientation and a detailed schedule closer to the recruitment dates.  

If you need to cancel your registration (or if you have any questions), please contact greeklife@d.umn.edu. The registration fee for the primary recruitment process is non-refundable and does not confirm membership within a sorority at UMD. Any returned payments initiated by a bounced check, incorrect amount, routing information, or dispute will incur a $25 returned payment fee to be paid by the registrant.
